Started Judo at the age of 7, his first club being Bondi Judo Club and then Poole Bay Judo Club. 
 
Competed for Poole Bay Judo Club in over 200 competitions and earned many medal positions. Some of his achievements as a junior judoka were: Dorset Champion, West of England Silver medalist, British schools champion, Heart of England Silver medalist these are just to name a few.
 
Member of the Dorset County Judo squad and the West of England squad, he also represented Lytchett Minster school in the British Schools Judo championships.
 
After a 9 year absence from Judo took back up the sport. His first goal: to finish off gaining his black belt, once completed he then started his progression into coaching. In 2011 he gained his BJA Instructors Award.
 
Moved to Poole Judo Centre in late 2011, with the help and guidance from Head coach Jimmy he has recently gained his UKCC level 1 and Level 2 coaching certificates (required qualification of the British Judo Association for coaching and running a Judo Club).

In March 2016 club chairman, founder and head coach Jimmy Green stepped down, Kit took over as club chairman and is 1 of 3 coaches.
